About

Why this exists

My mom calls me sometimes — "I had this strange dream last night, what do you think it means?" Every time we'd search online, the same picture: dozens of sites, all paraphrasing the same answer, every page covered in ads, popups, and tracking pixels. By the time the page finally loaded, the actual answer was buried somewhere we'd given up on finding.

That's why I built evoldo. One page, three perspectives, fast answer. So mom is happy — and now you can be too.

How it works

Your dream goes through three steps:

  1. Symbol extraction. The AI model identifies the main symbols in your text (e.g. "dog", "water", "dead").
  2. Database matching. Each symbol is looked up in our curated dream dictionary of 5717 entries. This dictionary is compiled from classical sources and refined for each language by hand and AI together. So the interpretation is not left to the LLM's guess alone — it is grounded in traditional literature.
  3. Three-perspective interpretation. The matched dictionary entries plus the full dream are passed to the model, which acts as an interpreter who knows three traditions and produces a response in this structure:

Thanks to this architecture, interpretations stay consistent — the same symbol draws from the same dictionary entry across different dreams; the model doesn't "make up" interpretations. We also have pre-generated standalone pages for 5717 symbols — if you only want to look up a single symbol like "dream meaning of dog", you can find it directly in the Dream Dictionary.

What makes it different

Limits

This is an entertainment and reflection tool. The interpretations are AI-generated — not absolute truths, just starting points. If you have a medical concern, an important decision to make, or a psychological difficulty, please talk to a qualified professional. evoldo is like a story you tell a friend over dinner; it makes the night more interesting but it doesn't run your life.

Who built it

Built as a personal project by an independent developer. Not a company, no ad partnerships, no investors. Server costs come out of my own pocket — that's why the daily interpretation limit exists.
